International Justice Mission
We support this amazing ministry in a very small way because scripture says that we need to set captives free (physically and spiritually) and to "do justly." This article has been sitting in my inbox for awhile because I've really wanted to blog about it. It seems that a reporter from the New Yorker magazine did an extensively researched article (2 years in the making) on IJM and it's president, Gary Haugen, including casework in four countries. The article ended up being extremely positive and encouraging. I'm hoping it generates more support from those with means for this much needed ministry.
I encourage you to not only read about this ministry that's garnered the respect of those outside of Christ's Kingdom, but also to support them, no matter how small, in order to see God set people free. As they're set free physically from slavery and forced prostitution, His people are there to invite those captives to be set free spiritually, too.
