Busy, Busy, Busy
It's after 8:30 on Tuesday night. I've had a fun evening with my boys. Shari's taking a bath and relaxing. I'm sort of following the election. So I thought I'd post, since I haven't for a few days. There's been plenty to post about, but that's what has kept me from posting. I'll try and get a few ready for the next few days. For now - on this post - on just meandering. I'm ready to go hunting again tomorrow. This will be my third try at getting some deer or elk. I'm not particular, as I've got a tag for two deer (doe and/or buck) and an elk. Right now, the MT regs say that the elk has to be a browtined bull, which basically means 3-4 points or more. I saw one in a parking lot this morning when I was returning a flower bucket (more on that later). It was beautiful, about 5-6 points, I think. Next Monday cow season opens in most areas of the state. I went hunting last Wed. with Kirk, then he and Ryan took me hunting for only elk on Saturday out by Phosphate. Neither place we went to had even any significant sign... except for mule deer, which - of course - were special permit only. We saw six of those. In the mean time, there are 6-8 deer (one buck) around our neighborhood, laughing and making faces at us. Tomorrow I go hunting with Bill, and I'm taking my oldest son, too. He's really excited, and I'm excited, too, though for different reasons. There's something about passing on a legacy that's pretty special. It was difficult to find Michael warm clothes that fit, but we finally got it together. It's supposed to snow in Lolo after midnight tonight, so I know the higher elevations will have it. While it will be cold, it will also drive the deer and elk down, which will be a tremendous help in finding them.
That's all my meanderings for now. Please make sure to pray for our nation, whoever's elected. The man will need God's grace, and maybe salvation.
