Year 21
Last week was our 20th anniversary. I've spent twenty years of my life with Shari, and I love her more now than I did when we got married. She is my best friend, my lover, the mother of my children, and my partner in ministry. She doesn't just complete me, she compliments me (and I hope I compliment her), making up for the areas where I'm deficient or weak. Yet, in all of that, we've learned that the other will never meet all our needs. We continue to learn to run to Jesus, and to pray for the other to have Jesus meet their needs.
Shari created this photo montage yesterday from a photo album she scanned in, and posted it on Facebook. It brought back some great memories, so I thought I'd share it here. There's our wedding, our first home, our honeymoon, our church in Tulsa (before we were married), and many other memories here. Of course, there's also the memory of the mustache and mullet. I'd say those aren't great memories, but I personally thought they were pretty cool. I wouldn't bring it back on me, but it was cool at the time.
So, we now begin year 21 of our marriage. What's God going to do in our lives this year?

That mustache is a little disturbing. Going for the Magnum P.I. look, were we? :)
