Bad Enough

I think I've read this from Tozer somewhere else, but I read it this morning at the beginning of Chapter 8 from his book, "The Knowledge of the Holy."
"The God of glory sometimes revealed Himself like a sun to warm and bless, indeed, but often to astonish, overwhelm, and blind before He healed and bestowed permanent sight... We have only to prepare Him a habitation in love and faith and humility. We have be to want Him badly enough, and He will come and manifest Himself to us."

That last sentence was especially convicting for me. Do I want HIM badly enough - not His gifts or what He can do for me, but Him. Am I seeking Him persistently and with my whole heart?

God, please help me to pursue you with my whole heart, not for what you can give me, but because you are God, and I need you and your work in my life. Amen.
