Prayer for Direction

Lord, Thank you for providing the work you've given me. I am learning a ton from dad about building things and how things work in the construction world. I am enjoying the new experiences, and being able to have them with my dad. Though I am tired, and my muscles are sore at the end of the day, it's a tiredness and soreness that come from honest, hard work, and that actually feels very good.

But, Lord, Shari and I still believe you've called us to youth ministry. We are convinced that you have a place for us that shares our values and our heart for teens and their families to not just believe in you or know about you, but to truly know you, love you, and experience your power at work in and through them. We are called to pastor those teens and their families, and to reach out to those who don't know you in order to see them set free and walking in your power, love, forgiveness, and joy.

God, could you please show us where we're supposed to be. Maybe you want us to take some time off and simply have a job that pays the bills without being full-time ministry. That's great. We simply need to know where you want us. Please speak clearly to us, and help us to be patient as you prune us and prepare us for the next place you have for us.
