Words of encouragement
In my prayer time this morning, the Lord spoke to my heart about encouraging both my boys and the students we serve. Here's some of what He said.
"Paul, you need to actively look for positive things your boys and the teenagers you serve are doing. Then you need to write those things down and communicate them to those people. In that way, you'll be communicating My love to them."
As I struggled with the guilt of realizing what I haven't been doing, the Lord spoke to my heart again,
"You also need to be more accepting and aware of my, "Well done," in your life. You do well at seeing your faults, but you struggle to let Me show you where you're doing well."
So I emphasized His point by arguing how easy I find it to become prideful. Then I started to get it. I say started to because He's still working on me in this arena.
So, a little bit of my heart to encourage others who may also be struggling with some of this.
