Baseball
Well, last night we were able to play baseball, so I got to watch and help at Mark's game, while Shari went to Matthew's. Still, it was cold, especially with the wind. It was in the mid-40's on the thermometer, and I'm betting right around 40 with the wind chill. Not exactly baseball weather, but at least it wasn't raining or snowing, so we're thankful. Mark had fun just being out there, and had a great attitude the whole game. He got up to bat twice, and went down swinging both times. It reminded me that we need to spend some time at the field just practicing our hitting. Matthew didn't get any hits either, but got to play 3rd base, which he enjoyed. Mark even got some balls hit to him in left field, and handled them nicely as they went sailing over his head. He had one opportunity to back up the third baseman, and handled that one quite well, too. So, it was a good outing at the baseball diamond. I really like both their coaches, too. They're patient, yet they don't let the kids get away with being lazy, either. I'm glad I was able to spend some time with my boys, and Mark especially seemed to appreciate my presence.
