Sick child
Shari left about 30 min. ago to take Ben to the doctor. Thankfully, they actually had an opening this evening, but it does mean that our schedule tonight is a bit upended. So, I'm currently fixing dinner (while I type), while I'm also printing off my message, getting music out for worship, and generally thinking through how youth group's supposed to go tonight. Not bad for a guy who can't multi-task... well, not well, anyway.
This week's been pretty difficult. Ben's been sick since Friday, and he's spending his nights coughing, crying, successfully getting one or both of us up, then going back to sleep for a couple hours... while we try and turn our brains back off. It's been a lot like having a newborn again. It's made me wonder about those over-40 folks who have babies late in life. How do they do it. I think I'd die, or sleep through a feeding, or something. I'd certainly be a basket case during the day. My hat's off to those folks (Joel).
So, prayers for Ben would be appreciated, as he probably has an ear infection, as well as a cold. Prayers for Shari and I as we endeavor to care for our kids and the kids in youth group would also be appreciated. Thanks for standing with us. It's not a major problem, like many others struggle with, but I appreciate your prayers, none-the-less.
