"The Penguins"

My son, Michael, is a busy boy. Not only does he sing in a homeschool choir, take part in a Sunday School Christmas production, take piano lessons, and play baseball in the spring, but he's also part of a boys' group that call themselves, "The Penguins." This morning they did an excellent rendition of Rich Mullins', "Awesome God." Michael is such a ham, yet he's a sincere one. He's not really doing it because he's consciously being prideful or wanting attention. That's just what he does. At the end of the song, he was supposed to invite the audience to sing with them. Unfortunately for him, this audience almost needs a written invitation for something like that, so his simple hand wave needed some extra help from their director. The crowd eventually got the message. He's a great singer, and I'm looking forward to what God's going to do with this outgoing, talented young man as he grows up.
