So, since I'm learning to be thankful...

Here are a few things we are so thankful for...

• Matthew had a great time at Sparks-O-Rama today. It was an added bonus that his team actually won. I guess that's rather unusual for Lolo's teams.
• Michael, despite not even coming close in quizzing, had a good time learning how this works, and wants to try again next year.
• I didn't over eat for lunch, and, what with the sandwiches the boys didn't finish, I didn't go hungry either.
• I had a great day with my boys. After the AWANA stuff, we came home, and I played games with Matthew and Ben, and read Mark another chapter from "The Hall of the Dragon King."
  
• Harvest Foods, our local grocery store, is having a great sale on WF stuff, and I was able to buy some much needed groceries at bulk prices. When was the last time you saw Mac and Cheese for less than 44 cents a box?

And the final, wonderful, amazing, and timely gift from God: Our need to finish off the month was $200. Our paycheck had an extra $300 this month, thanks to a special, anonymous gift from somebody in the church. Thank you, God, for always being our provider.

God is good. Even if these things hadn't happened today, that doesn't change that fact. We can praise Him in the bad times and good, and we need to. He is worthy of praise simply because He's God. The blessings are added bonuses. I know that's true, but need to be reminded on a regular basis. Thank you, God, for patiently continuing to make us more into the image of Your Son.
