July is here

Last night I stayed up until 12:30 am watching "The Fellowship of the Ring" at Nick's house with surround sound and three freshman guys. Tonight (after a day of wonderful rest and play with my family) I attended a 3.5 hour church board meeting (rather short, really). So it begins. For the month of July, I'm going to be out and aboot more than normal, as is Shari. This week isn't too bad, though Shari will be preparing and taking part in a garage sale to raise money for the youth group (and the kayak trip specifically). Sunday we leave for 7th grade camp. The following week we're home to recuperate, then I leave Friday for a three day backpacking trip. Before I return, Shari will be leaving the boys with a wonderful family, and she leaves for six days on a kayak trip with five girls and two volunteers. She returns from that trip for a week of recuperation (and laundry), and we leave for high school camp. So, if you don't hear much from me or her during this month, please don't stone us. We shall return to give you a full report of what God's done during these fantastic events.

Which leads me to my request. Could you please be praying for these events. Whether it's the event, or the people were going with, there will be much new ground to cover, as well as ministering to students. Shari's not feeling well tonight, and we both need to be at 100% for camp next week. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated as we are reminded that this isn't just about having a good time. The battle is continuing to make disciples, reach the lost, and shepherd families. Thank you.

Have a wonderful month of July yourselves, and please don't hesitate to e-mail just for fun. We look forward to posting when we can, or getting back in August.
